Christmas Time
There is no place like home for the holidays. Truly! A household that celebrates with food, colorfully wrapped gifts, loved-ones to hug, brightly lit trees, calls home from those far away, all add to the magic of the season. The tradition defies all understanding. The warmth one feels gives comfort to his very soul. It’s a peaceful feeling that tames the beast and brings contentment to us all for a brief time in our hurried lives. It is a time to set aside tasks and to just enjoy each other. Here is what happened at our house.
I sat in this chair at the end of the day to reflect upon the day. I considered the true meaning of Christmas. I thought of the true gift that was given. A gift that can’t be out given, can’t be bought at any price, will never be hidden with colorful paper or delivered by a fat bearded man dressed in red. It is a chance to trade our shortcomings for an unconditional love paid for buy the one they call Emmanuel.
I hope you had a blessed Christmas and will have a rewarding New Year.
